Sure.
I've added an option called DYNAMIC_ROOT_BINS. When it is defined and
not NO, then /bin and /sbin, as represented by src/{sbin,bin}, will be
built shared. I'll be committing it shortly.
Mike also suggested a NO_STATIC_LIBRARIES. An idea I like, but will
leave unimplemented for a time.
Lots of other discussions that weren't on topic for my needs also
happened. Much of it was interesting, but is left unsummarized here.
