     hi
     
     From what I've recently read, there's a big job going on on the 
     release of the "next" release in the 2.2 branch (2.2.6).
     
     I also remember having seen in Q3'97 that there sould be a first 
     release of the 3.0 version during the first quarter of '98.
     
     what is the state of the 3.0 version ? (or perhaps I should be reading 
     freebsd-current ?)
