Hrm, seems like a good idea.  Unless these are supposed to be hidden
options (I think I appropriately stressed the desire to not use these
unless necessary), the appropriate descriptive bits just hit the tree.
Thanks for the idea.

At some point it might be worth while documenting all of the various
"standard" tunables for porters in a chapter (porter's handbook) as
well as the various public tunables available to users in the user's
handbook.  -sc
