            Bug ID: 265777
           Summary: zlib possible buffer overflow?
           Product: Base System
           Version: 13.1-RELEASE
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Many People
          Priority: ---
         Component: bin
          Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: rob2g2-freebsd@bitbert.com

I have examined the patch from OpenBSD for their recent security fix (009:
SECURITY FIX: August 12, 2022;
https://ftp.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/patches/7.1/common/009_zlib.patch.sig) =
and
found the same code snippet in FreeBSDs sys/contrib/zlib/inflate.c

maybe someone could have alook at it and patch it if necessary. thanks
