[-- Attachment #1 --] Joe, I appreciated your comments and was surprised at Nate William's reply. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and assumed that I had missed something on the website (http://www.freebsd.org/java). I went back to look for something like an anonymous CVS, or something that I could just look at and decide for myself whether I was capable and had the time. I still havent found anything. Given what I have heard about SUN allowing ports it is not as simple as "here's the source have at it." But obviously someone has access to it and might have already gone through it a little bit and made a task list. I work that way sometimes and sometimes I just go through it sequentially. Either way I just thought I would offer some time since I know there must be hundreds of us wanting the port for FreeBSD. Also from reading what I could find at blackdown (http://www.blackdown.org) I gather that there is a fair amount of testing requiring human observation. I am human and have made a few observations in my time so I would be willing to do this as well. Perhaps if small chunks can be tested at a time we could make use of the hundreds of idle FreeBSD machines out there :) I have three machines running FreeBSD now and while they are slow, sometimes I am too, so that shouldn't be too bad. Anyway I don't know anything about Mr. Williams and reserve judgement. He may have a very long commute to and from his place of email and may not be in a very good mood when he reads the hundreds of emails asking when are we going to be there, are we there yet, and on and on and on. Also I do not believe for a second that porting the VM is all fun and games and I am very impressed with the 1.1.7 port. It is much better behaved than the reference on WinNT that I use at work. I am anxious to work with the JCE and so I offer my time. Take it or leave it. richardl [-- Attachment #2 --] 0 *H 010 + 0 *H 00'0 *H 010 UUS10U California10UConcord1%0#U Secure Computing Corporation10UAuthentication1"0 USecure Certificate Server1&0$ *H scs@securecomputing.com0 990423043758Z 000422043758Z010 UUS10U California10UConcord1%0#U Secure Computing Corporation10UAuthentication10URichard Levenberg1402 *H %richard_levenberg@securecomputing.com00 *H 0 KJ72 ^<8IJJ5v1j' c3ئr͂ `mJ,{yl 릤S$jSf0P"`۪:H"k̹MD 00 U0 0 `HB0U0( `HB SCS Generated Certificate0UpOO!k;^y00U#0K rY DA>@N݊kƤ010 UUS10U California10UConcord1%0#U Secure Computing Corporation10UAuthentication1"0 USecure Certificate Server1&0$ *H scs@securecomputing.com 00U)0'%richard_levenberg@securecomputing.com0"U0scs@securecomputing.com0 *H EØ8(d\_>[q_/.9P|㏒tј0mVB^M@@r75tF-Ȫ"5s J:8'O[1&ˢ2}T\S 0]1!00010 UUS10U California10UConcord1%0#U Secure Computing Corporation10UAuthentication1"0 USecure Certificate Server1&0$ *H scs@securecomputing.com0 + 0 *H 1 *H 0 *H 1 990429003904Z0# *H 1 J-Aթܟؾ0R *H 1E0C0 *H 0*H 0+0 *H @0 *H (0 *H y]ϰi|@2zcyjv([V%0O%l MlaX<mx=C4MT,"*mmZg.>4wMON_<^Qkrhelp
