https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=193677 Bug ID: 193677 Summary: i915kms *ERROR* failed to attach fbd device: 6 with HD Graphics 2000 chipset Product: Base System Version: 10.0-STABLE Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: Needs Triage Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: openjdk@getsnappy.com Created attachment 147371 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=147371&action=edit pciconf, /var/log/messages Hello, I'm trying to put together a new Freebsd 10 desktop and am having trouble getting the i915kms to work. When I go to start Xorg I my screen flashes between colors. I believe the source is the kernel module and this line in the /var/log/messages: error: [drm:pid1526:drm_fb_helper_single_fb_probe] *ERROR* Failed to attach fbd device: 6 I'm using the HD Graphics 2000 chipset. Currently everything works ok with the "vesa" driver, but I'd love to help track down and help fix the source of this error. I have more verbose logging with hw.dmi.debug=1, but it was too big to attach to this bug. Thanks, Brian Gardner -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
