That statement is already in there:
$ grep -i key /etc/rc.conf
keyrate="normal"
keymap="uk.iso"
keymap="uk.iso"
$
As I mentioned earlier, there isn't a problem when for instance, using Opera, I want to enter the "pound" sign into the search text field in Google, or if I'm using webmail. The problem is that I can never get the "pound" sign when using vi, mutt, or any other terminal-based application.
