I wrote that PCI attach code (and restructured the
existing NE2000 and Lance drivers to not depend on
struct isa_device) in late 1996, and this code has
been used on lots of system, meanwhile.

There have been no changes, recently, and I guess
there is a local error or incompatibility on your
system, if it doesn't work for you ...
(In other words: I'm afraid I can't help ...).
