Look into /sys/i386/conf/GENERIC:

# SCSI peripherals
device          scbus           # SCSI bus (required)
device          da              # Direct Access (disks)
device          sa              # Sequential Access (tape etc)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
device          cd              # CD
device          pass            # Passthrough device (direct SCSI access)
