I could have sworn I saw the same Ethernet address. Yes, it's a different system. And looking for that explained the problem: 1. I reboot echunga, which should have a dhcp server, but it didn't start. 2. My RS/6000 tries to connect to the dhcp server to get an IP address, but it can't. Sorry for the confusion.
