I found what you spoke of as you were probably sendi= ng=20 this reply. That's exactly what worked. However, the /etc/ttys file isn't= =20 editable if you're not root, so I simply changed my uid to 0 from single us= er=20 to edit these things. (turns out i didn't set the insecure mode correctly,= =20 anyways.
