I'm not sure if "up to date" means the 4.6.2 Release version of ports, or the current ftp://ftp.FreeBSD.org/pub/FreeBSD/branches/-current//ports.tar.gz version. I've used the latter to build gdbm-1.8.0 on a 4.6RELEASE box without problem. The ports in the 4.6.2 release kit appears a little old, for example: I checked one port that I need for work, Nessus, and the 4.6.2 RELEASE ports version contained version 1.0.9, whereas the version in CURRENT ports is 1.2.4. This is just one kit and may not be representative, but it was a key one. Dewayne To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
