I still see d-wait processes but they don't stick around long, I suspect they
are to be expected when the load average is > 300. The change is certainly not
causing any problems I can see.

I think it took me too long to produce a usable crash dump to be confident the
patch fixes the bug. But I'll continue testing with a GENERIC-DEBUG after 14.4
is released and if nothing turns up in say two months I think we'll be good.
