Good, that most likely means that it's a configuration combination that's messing up, which means I can fix it. : Most likely this is the classic bug of having your .cshrc and/or : .login produce output when prompt isn't defined. I'm not familiar with this 'classic' bug, to be quite honest, I made my tcshrc/login files from when I was very, very new to the whole unix concept, and before I even knew what BSD was, so this is quite possible, and probably is the case. These files are several years old, I have the firm belief that if it is not broken or lacking in features, don't change it, thus since I've never had a tcsh problem, I've never touched them. What I do not understand, is why something like this would only cause the shell to core dump when using OpenSSH's sshd instead of 1.2.27.. A further explanation of this bug would be greatly appreciated, or a pointer to where this may be documented. Thank you for the input, it must seem that I'm implying that tcsh and/or openssh contain bugs, which is not what I've been meaning to say. I did not realize this is how I was coming across until reading some of the replies to me. To clarify, I'm just saying that the combination with by configuration causes problems that did not exist before. It would be nice to get a clear picture on this as I do not seem to be the only one with similar problems. : Warner Matt -- Matt Heckaman [matt@arpa.mail.net|matt@relic.net] [Please do not send me] !Powered by FreeBSD/x86!
