Thanks for this! I found a PR for bsdgrep (172677) that claims buildworld WITHOUT_GNU_GREP_COMPAT and WITH_BSDGREP fails but I haven't looked into it further. There are also quite a few bsdgrep PRs open if someone wants to take a look.
