Something that could fix the problem with the write/modify
is to chmod 0777 /<da share>

Solved the problem for me.  Since you use SHARE in the
smb.conf this shouldn't create a security problem since
everybody has axess to the share.

The files that appear in the share, but not BSD I cannot
help you with.
