Here's another mystery.

If I leave the pccard (3C589 ethernet) in during booting all goes well,
I can plug in and unplug the card at will.

If I do NOT plug the card in until the machine has a login prompt and then
put in the card the machine locks up (spinning the CPU I suspect since
the fan comes on) and has to be hard booted.

Any clues?

Thanks,
George
