BTW, what kind of binutils do people use for IA-64? I recently
compiled a 2.11.2 version with target ia64-elf and everything built
fine. The code which was generated by `as', however, was completely
messed up. Returning back to using an *ancient* version with an
ia64-unknown-linux target worked ok (except that it couldn't be used
together with gcc 3.0.1).
