https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=210187 Bug ID: 210187 Summary: remove @ from list of forbidden gecos characters in pw_user.c & improve pw(8) docs Product: Base System Version: 11.0-CURRENT Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: bin Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: dch@skunkwerks.at Created attachment 171261 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=171261&action=edit patch v1 This trivial patch allows storing internet style email addresses in the gecos field. I cannot find a reference online anywhere that dictates what is & isn't forbidden, apologies if some pedantic standard from the 1990s does so. Whether the code change goes in or not, I'd like to improve the documentation to pw(8), currently included in the patch. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
