It would be nice if you could use > these together. As I recall there is an option like "WITHOUT_CUPS=yes" or something similar. If you havn't look into whether that is set or not it might be worth looking into. As I recollect, apsfilter installs -with- CUPS, but that caused me much headache at one point. I am not sure if it is still the default.
