Hi: Sorry - I'm new on the list. I've just bought a Canon MVX 250i (European model number) so I thought I should subscribe. I have managed to make fwcontrol cause a page fault and kernel dump issuing the command # fwcontrol -r while the camera is playing. Camera is not affected at all. OK, my fault I should have known that doing this could likely have some fatal outcome, yet - a nicer error handling would be appropriate. I'm on the most resent RELEASE: FreeBSD charm 6.1-PRERELEASE FreeBSD 6.1-PRERELEASE #0: Wed Feb 22 01:04:20 CET 2006 root@charm:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC6 i386 The only difference from the GENERIC kernel is that I have disabled fwe.
