I would like to be able to write to my floppy disk without going to su. I am the only person using this machine (at home), so I don't care about world writable permissions. I changed the permissions on /dev/fd0a to world-writable, but the system refuses to let me do the same to /floppy and the directories and files that already exist on the floppy. And yes, I am trying this as root. -- Chip Wiegand Alternative Operating Systems www.wiegand.org To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
