The daemon I have was scanned from the reverse side of a wipe-off tattoo, then flipped around, so the colours are rather blotchy. I diddled around with it in Photoshop, then reduced it so you can't really tell. Mr. Hosokawa ought to have a large rendition of the daemon in mid-stride from his CD-ROM cover artwork. If I can get a copy of that from him, I could easily create a big version of the logo, suitable for output on a colour printer for a variety of uses around home and office. :) I thought the idea of Walnut Creek giving away FreeBSD T-shirts and wipe-off tattoos at the Toronto Comdex was a fabulous idea. I never would have bothered with the 2.0.5 CD-ROMs if there wasn't a free T-shirt in the deal. ;-) It left the Linux people standing at the booth wondering if there was something for them ("Well, have you guys come up with a mascot yet?"). :) Apple gives away Apple logo stickers of all sizes (or at least they used to with the Apple II's) and SGI bundles cool foam rubber balls with their Indys. A handful of FreeBSD daemon stickers stuck in with the CD-ROM insert booklet would be great to have. People will want to stick them on binders, windows, sides of monitors, desks, etc. I used to agonize over where best to affix those Apple stickers... :) -- Brian ("Though this be madness, yet there is method in't") Tao taob@gate.sinica.edu.tw <-- work ........ play --> taob@io.org
