Hi, >>>>> On Sat, 07 Oct 2006 08:54:27 -0700 >>>>> Colin Percival <cperciva@freebsd.org> said: cperciva> Am I correct in thinking that this change means that automatic ipv6 link-local cperciva> addresses are disabled by default, and will be enabled iff auto_linklocal="YES" cperciva> is set in /etc/rc.conf? No, auto_linklocal variable was not introduced. The intention of gnn was not changed. When ipv6_enable="YES, net.inet6.ip6.auto_linklocal is set to 1. It seems there are more regressions. I'm not tested actually, but perhaps we cannot install FreeBSD via IPv6, now. And, we cannot use IPv6 in single user mode unless we set net.inet6.ip6.auto_linklocal to 1 explicitly.
