--=-Sh8OZexkKkgoBGvMXAqH Content-Type: text/plain Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi guys, I'm new to FreeBSD, and I'm trying to get my network working on an old compaq armada 1700, with a pcmcia xircom RBE100 card (network only - thats the chip/version name on the back of the card) - as that's my server ( it's silent, and less powerdemanding - for home use). I had to remove acpi support (set hint.acpi.0.disabled=3D1) for it to boot :) I can see that both miibus (the driver suppose to work for my card) and pccard modules are present (doing lsmod at boot-menu). The error I get when inserting (and at boot time) is this (typed manually): Product version: 5.0 Product name: Xircom | CardBus Ethernet II 10/100 | CBEII-10/100 | 1.03 | Manufacturer ID: 0501030181 Functions: Network Adapter, Multi-Functioned Function Extension: .. I'm using GENERIC kernel. No problem compiling a new kernel if need be. Thank you in advance. --=20 Regards, Klavs Klavsen, GSEC - kl@vsen.dk - http://www.vsen.dk Working with Unix is like wrestling a worthy opponent.=20 Working with windows is like attacking a small whining child=20 who is carrying a .38. =09 --=-Sh8OZexkKkgoBGvMXAqH Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQA+e2zBPToLeX4GPGIRAiaXAKCa/qVWHsslOCZIoOr4ar/KY2gfrQCfbR7E c0/9SSad5AeEHYROgC4bvy0= =Zo40 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-Sh8OZexkKkgoBGvMXAqH-- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
