I am closing this bug because upstream Home Assistant explicitly deprecated the
venv/pip installation method that this port relies on (announced May 2025).
kiwi@FreeBSD.org returned the port to the pool on 2026-03-18, citing hard
dependencies making it unviable, and the original reporter concluded HA is "not
suitable for long-term use" as a FreeBSD port. The consensus across 12
participants is that HA should be run in a bhyve VM or container instead.
