Subject: How to mount from a Linux box ?

Hi,

when I try to mount a directory from a linux box (S.u.S.e, 2.0.xx kernel)
which is exported only to our network (*.mep.ruhr-uni-bochum.de), the
mount succeeds, but subsequent accesses return `permission denied'.
(I tried -o noconn and/or -o nfsv2.)

Furthermore, I'm not able to umount (-f) the FS in question without
rebooting my machine (running FBSD 2.2.2).

While we are at it: Is there any hope that one will sometime be able
to (forcibly) umount a FS whose server died (e.g. an exported CDROM
which was removed meanwhile) or is this intended by NFS ?

TIA,
Robert
