This is not directly applicable since I'm talking about a consumer grade Presario 6704, but I have to defend Compaq again: Good: 1. Works fine other than the second modem; 2. Actually engineered. Quiet, holds together with Torx fasteners, bus cage snaps out and back in without tools, etc. 3. The one call to technical support (yes, easy problem, want replacement of all shipped software since I'm installing FBSD on the drive) handled quickly without hanging on hold and the unpaid for CDROM came express mail. Bad in general, and especially for us: 1. ALL manuals other than how to turn on the computer, etc, are on the W95 disk.
