Does this means you saw the message
	Rebooting...
on the console and the BIOS POST message (memory check etc) was shown
but the system never got the stage that it accesses the HDD
and prompt you with "boot:"?  The system is hanging during the BIOS POST,
right?

This is during the SCSI BIOS is searching for the drives, right?
