i just would like to know about the state of SOFTUPDATES in -current
and in -stable (are there differences ?) for heavy load situations ...
is anyone here running SOFTUPDATES in such situations without trouble ?
i'm asking because i noticed some problems then high load benchmarking
a FreeBSD machine with SOFTUPDATES enabled (ended up in an unusable
filesystem) - but i'm not shure if it was due to the SOFTUPDATES or
maybe due to other kernel options or the ata driver (but i did not use
busmastering ...)
so it would be nice if someone could post here or mail me some experiences
with SOFTUPDATES in "production" environments (yes i know its labeled
alpha :-)
