On a ThinkPad R51 the driver seems to works as advertised, but I'm not sure how to test virtual scrolling. At the moment I have a numb area at the right side of the touch pad, which changes it's size if I modify hw.psm.synaptics.directional_scrolls. Does virtual scrolling require additional xorg voodoo? I added: Option "Buttons" "5" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" to my xorg.conf, but the area stayed numb.
