I've submitted an ELF Tool Chain ticket (https://sourceforge.net/p/elftoolchain/tickets/524/) for this issue in elfcopy. I expect either Roger or I will have a fix in the next few days, but WITHOUT_ELFCOPY_AS_OBJCOPY will do for now.
