-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- if you have already installed X and your favorite desktop then you would have to issue the 'startx' command. If you have installed X and your desktop then your /home/.xinitrc would have which desktop you installed. for me I switch between kde and gnome. In mine I have the command 'exec gnome-session'. If I want to boot up into kde i put in 'exec startkde'. The easiest way to install X and your desktop is to issue the command at the console is '/stand/sysinstall' . then go down to 'configure', scroll all the way down and there are to entries one for X server and one for desktop. Take it from there! Hope this helps.
