My UUCP is working fine. The problem is getting Smail to batch SMTP  
incoming mail for a domain and then wait for dial-up from that 
particular domain's off-line SMTP Mail Server.  Such as Seattle Lab's 
SLmail95 which will do dial-up on demand or at pre-set time intervals 
the way UUCP will. Put the mail in a directory and when the system calls 
take any incoming mail (and process ) then off-load all mail stored the 
directory to it.
