First problem: My 3c509 card did not come up in UTP mode as it should have. It interrupted with: 1 3C5x9 board(s) on ISA found at 0x300 ep0 at 0x300-0x30f irq 10 on isa ep0: irq 10 ep0: aui/utp[*UTP*] address 00:60:8c:b8:77:84 but then went on to report: ep0: strange connector type in EEPROM: assuming AUI and failed to pass traffic over its UTP connection. I fixed this with: *** if_ep.c.orig Sun Feb 25 17:05:34 1996 --- if_ep.c Tue Feb 27 21:08:29 1996 *************** *** 655,661 **** GO_WINDOW(1); } else { GO_WINDOW(1); ! switch(sc->ep_connector) { case ACF_CONNECTOR_UTP: if(sc->ep_connectors & UTP) { GO_WINDOW(4); --- 655,661 ---- GO_WINDOW(1); } else { GO_WINDOW(1); ! switch(sc->ep_connector >> ACF_CONNECTOR_BITS) { case ACF_CONNECTOR_UTP: if(sc->ep_connectors & UTP) { GO_WINDOW(4);
