After my system has been up for a few days, when I try to start X by using startx it crashes whenever I move the mouse. The problem corrects itself after a reboot, and has only appeared about a week or two ago. I am using FreeBSD 3.2 using XFree86 Version 3.3.3.1. My machine has a Matrox MGA 2064W graphics card. It says when crashing (I don't have time to type all of the server output, and I can't redirect it to a file): Fatal Server Error: Caught signal 10. Server aborting When reporting a problem related to a server crash please send to full server output, not just the last message. Jan 8 22:52:18 durandal /kernel: pid 6539 (XF86_SVGA), uid 0: exited on signal 6 (core dumped) X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown). X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown). xinit: connection to X server lost. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and has anyone fixed it? I have only been using FreeBSD for a few months so I am pretty much a newbie. To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
