The other thing I'm having a problem with is that although IPFW logs to 
/var/log/security. The only full information on actual deny actions 
comes from looking at the kernel messages, instead of getting those from 
/var/log/security.

Is this on purpose, or did I just forget to switch something on?

Or is this a "submit code please case"?
