Hi, I installed 8.0 after my hard disk died. I compiled 8.0 from last Saturday with the GENERIC configuration. It booted and hanged on the spot 7.2 gives this message: ohci0: <AcerLabs M5237 (Aladdin-V) USB controller> mem 0xe8100000-0xe8100fff irq 11 at device 2.0 on pci0 ohci0: [GIANT-LOCKED] ohci0: [ITHREAD] usb0: OHCI version 1.0, legacy support usb0: <AcerLabs M5237 (Aladdin-V) USB controller> on ohci0 usb0: USB revision 1.0 Disabling ohci gives me a kernel which boots but it does not allow me to use the external USB mouse. The machine is a Fujitsu P2120. As a consequence, I moved back to 7.2 which gives me a running system.
