My suggestion would be to update your xfree86 to 3.3.5. it can be found in ports to make life a little easier. cd /usr/ports/x11/XFree86 make install (patience is a virtue!) You can run XF86Setup to reconfigure your /etc/XF86Config file and monitor/card settings after the install. Also, take a look at documentation located on www.xfree86.org under "Information for Matrox Users". They do list known problems which may affect you, or may be fixed by upgrading. Also, you might want to check to see what changes with video and/or mouse support have been made, if any, since the 3.2 release.
