why not try out the sgmlformat port??

sgmlformat-1.4|/usr/ports/textproc/sgmlformat|/usr/local|Generates groff and HTML from linuxdoc and docbook SGML documents|/usr/ports/textproc/sgmlformat/pkg/DESCR|jfieber@FreeBSD.ORG|textproc print||docbook-3.0 iso8879-1986 jade-1.0.1 linuxdoc-1.0 perl-5.00401
and it's in the same section as the jade port...
