Using the Wine windows emulator (under /usr/ports/emulators/wine), you can run 
some Windows programs. There is an article on how to set it up for FreeBSD at 
the O'Reilly site.

Some programs run fine (I didn't have a problem with Civilization III), but 
others are very flaky or won't run at all (MSOffice). Your mileage will vary.
