Nope, but I did try out egcs-1.0.1 and it didn't install seamlessly;
I haven't quite determined whether egcs isn't right or FreeBSD has
a problem.  I am interested in the new pentium optimisations and
also the much improved template support for C++.  As the back end
optimiser has been improved, C will benefit as well.
