We are happy to announce the availability of PAO3-19990518 for FreeBSD 3.1-RELEASE. This will be the final PAO release for FreeBSD 3.1-RELEASE. Hereafter, the development of PAO3 will move to 3.2-RELEASE. The major change since the last beta release PAO3-19990329-beta is * Newly supported cards Lucent WaveLAN/IEEE 802.11 PCMCIA (wi) Am79C930 IEEE802.11 network card (ux) PCMCIA GPIB card (gp) * -p option for cnwctl (cnw) * Fix of the one letter delay problem of sio * Documentation updates (ja-man, pccardc.8, etc.) * PAO default configuration will go /etc/rc.conf.local instead of /etc/rc.conf You can use DHCP while installation, as the WIDE-DHCP client is included in the installation floppies. Look at ftp://daemon.jp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD-jp/PAO/flp/3.1-RELEASE/README for the instruction to install. If FreeBSD 3.1-RELEASE is already installed on your system you only need the PAO source kit. For clean install, you need the installation floppies and PAO distribution.
