I am writing up a shell script that is to be executed via cron. Part of the script involves using scp, and I want it to copy a file to a remote server. Currently I use syntax scp localfile user@remote:/location-to-save-to/remotefile The problem is I want to have it authenticate by itself without needing my input. Any ideas how, and the syntax I would use.
