I use /home/ncvs just the same as on freefall - even if that's not where
the repository is actually stored.  This allows you to do remote commits
from a locally checked out repository if you know how to trick cvs into
permitting it.  (I'm not going to say how publically because you can 
really screw yourself badly.  Send me mail if you really want to know, and 
If I can't frighten you into changing your mind, I'll tell you. :-)
