For your case, there are the following options: a) Use ipv6_activate_all_interfaces="YES" or b) cloned_interfaces="gif0" ifconfig_gif0="tunnel inet <srcinetaddr> <destinetaddr>" ifconfig_gif0_ipv6="inet6 auto_linklocal" Note that $gif_interfaces and $gifconfig_* are deprecated.
