You can use glabel to add a label to the raw swap partition. I use to have a line containing /dev/label/BSDSWAP none swap sw 0 0 in /etc/fstab. -- My preferred quotation of Robert Louis Stevenson is "You cannot make an omelette without breaking eggs".
