Another one to add; you can't use X with /dev/psm0, you have to use /dev/npsm0. MAKEDEV creates /dev/psm0 as the nonblocking device, but the psm driver registers this as the blocking device. Symptoms are that the X server freezes unless you are moving the mouse. Also the new sound code isn't quite getting it right; it's appending unit numbers to its devices without supplying default entries (ie. no /dev/ dsp, /dev/mixer, etc.) -- \\ Sometimes you're ahead, \\ Mike Smith \\ sometimes you're behind. \\ mike@smith.net.au \\ The race is long, and in the \\ msmith@freebsd.org \\ end it's only with yourself. \\
