What does it mean? I have seen this when I connected to the FreeBSD PPP server with a Windows NT client. The NT client was configured to request NetBEUI or IPX over PPP, not only TCP/IP . Turning off the respective protocols in RAS configuration fixed this. There are even implementations of AppleTalk over PPP :-) Michael
