I'm wondering if anyone has installed FreeBSD on the NEC LaVie MX2? This computer is currently only available in Japan (or from Dynamism.com) but it sounds like the ultimate usable laptop. It has a Reflective LCD screen so it's actually *more* viewable in brighter sunlight, as well as an adjustable backlight for lower light levels. By doing away with the backlight when you don't need it they save loads of power. Uses the Transmeta Crusoe processor as well. The standard battery lasts from 8 to 11 hours! I *want* one! But I want to make sure there are no gotchas as well! /raj To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
